The most beautiful moment for a woman is when she becomes a mother. Mother, father and all family members are happy to see the child grow every moment. Everyone is waiting for the baby to talk, smile and play and all kinds of development will be completed.
However, parents may not know what to do, where to go, or who can provide solutions when some children’s development is stunted or stalled.
Generally, special needs arise when a child is developmentally challenged. We then call him a child with special needs. A child should be referred to a child neurologist as soon as these problems appear. He will do various tests to see what kind of problem the child has.
Some problems can only be solved with medicine. But, solving some problems requires a multidisciplinary team.
When a child neurologist identifies a child with a Neuro Developmental Disorder/Disability or the parent himself realizes that his child is a child with special needs, the sky breaks in the parent’s head and they cannot understand where to go to find a solution.
When it comes to properly managing a child with special needs, parents need to remember that no single person can provide the solution. Correct and quick intervention of the child is possible through a multidisciplinary team.
The most important members of the team are the parents and the child’s family. The team will include child neurologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, audiologists, physiotherapists, therapy centers, nutritionists, special teachers in special schools, ABA centers, caregivers and people who work with children. Among them, one or more services are required based on the needs of the child.
But, a mother or parents are already mentally disturbed at such times. Then they cannot understand what to do or where to go. Why don’t you go? Then they randomly go to different groups on social media to find out where to find whom. Many people get the right information and many people wander here and there without getting the right information or guidelines. Sometimes you want to know who they are
